2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe VS 2016 E-Class Coupe

While upgrading the E-Class last year with brand new styling and interior utility, Mercedes-Benz somehow forgot about the E-Class Coupe. At least, that’s what we were afraid of. Actually, Mercedes-Benz was just perfecting the new Coupe design, as it differs quite a bit from the 2016 model because of the new style of the new generation E-Class. To find out which is which, we put them head to head in a 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe VS 2016 E-Class Coupe comparison.

2017 E-Class Sedan VS. 2016 SedanWhat Is Mercedes-Benz AMG® Cylinder Management System?

Exterior Size

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe grew in length by 4.8 inches for the 2018 model. This means there is more room for both front and back-seat passengers, removing one of the most inconvenient aspects of coupe styling. This extra length also gives the E-Class Coupe a larger wheelbase, a bigger butt, and better vantage point. To be precise, it is 2.9 inches wider, 1.3 inches taller, and has a wheelbase that is 4.4 inches longer than that of the E-Class Coupe of yesteryear.

2018 E-Class Coupe VS Sedan

The E-Class Sedan, as you probably imagined, is a bit longer than the E-Class Coupe, but not by much. In previous years, the difference between coupe and sedan length was extremely obvious when the two vehicles were next to each other. Now, the sedan is only 3.8 inches longer than the coupe. This gives the coupe the utility of a four-door sedan without compromising the sporty look of the two-door coupe.
